When Isabella sees signs protesting Operation Metro Surge in early 2026, she wonders if Minnesota needs a hero. She believes it might be the Rebel Loon, so she searches far and wide to find him.

Heather Bassler Zemien is an artist, a PCA, and an art instructor for a sober high school as well as local mental health communities. She is passionate about human rights and regulary creates signs for her yard to encourage neighbors to get involced in protecting our rights. She has participated as a legal observer at ICE hotspots in her neighborhood and was detained while exercising her rights to express herself. She is an illustrator for a children's picture book series that she created with author Sheila Path-McMahon. They are proud to present this picute book that addresses Operation Metro Surge in a kid-friendly way to emphasize that We the People have power and can make a difference when we use our tools and voices to speak up for ourselves and our neighbors. Her motto has always been to serve oepple of all ages and abilities through art.
