Meet Children's Author Sheila Path-McMahon

Pennywick Press is a micro-press project run by indie author Sheila Path-McMahon.

The projects that Pennywick Press publishes are by Sheila, in partnership with illustrator Heather Bassler Zemien.

We do not have anything on Amazon to print-on-demand, but we are looking into this for future projects.

So far, any thing PP publishes is by Sheila.  We do our own editing and production work up to sending it off to the printer.

Our printed books are stored in Heather's (clean, dry) basement. We have about 100 Isabella, Cat in the City: A Visit to the IDS Center and about 700 Isabella Cat in the City: A Visit to the Guthrie.

Isabella Cat in the City: a Visit to the IDS Center  is Heather's first children's book.  She decided to try using cut paper as a medium, fell in love, and never looked back.  She also paints, does prints, and is a multi-media artist.  Heather and Sheila collaborate to come up with stories for Isabella.

Isabella Cat in the City: a Visit to the IDS Center  is Sheila's debut as a children's book author.  She and Heather decided to set the story of the adventurous cat in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She takes the Light Rail to have adventures all over town - the first is the IDS, the second was the Women's March, and next is the Guthrie Theater!
